With our recent release of the FLO Air Gauge, we discussed a new concept called modular inflation. Modular inflation stems from the ability to use the FLO Air Gauge with any pump.
Naturally, we felt a mini pump was an excellent addition to FLO’s line of inflation products. The beauty of adding the FLO Mini Pump to the FLO Air Gauge is that you get extremely accurate tire pressures on the go without relying on someone else having a pump. In race transition, you’ll have all the tools you need to set an accurate pressure to optimize your speed. The FLO Mini Pump isn’t just any mini pump, it is a well-designed pump with a ton of features at an affordable price. Let’s dive in to learn more about the FLO Mini Pump.
FLO Mini Pump Specs
A breakdown of the FLO Mini Pump Specs:
- Max Pressure: 120psi
- Body: Aluminum Construction
- Head: Aluminum Construction with Locking Lever
- Valve Options: Presta, Schrader, Dunlop
- Length: 10.25 inch

Pressure Range
The pressure range of 120psi matches the pressure range of the FLO Air Gauge, which covers 99% of cycling applications.
Materials Used
Here at FLO, we’re not big fans of plastic. The FLO Mini Pump has an aluminum body and pump head and a rubber hose. We aimed for very minimal plastic parts in the pump. This combination of materials creates a long-lasting, reliable mini pump.
Pump Head and Valve Options
The locking feature from the FLO Locking Chuck was something we wanted to carry over to the pump. The FLO Mini Pump has a locking lever that can be used with Presta, Schrader, and Dunlop valves. While most cyclists will use a Presta valve, I can attest to the convenience of the Schrader option since having a toddler. I’ve used the FLO Mini Pump on a hand full of occasions to inflate the tire on our Bob’s jogging stroller after getting a flat. I just wish Bob’s had a tubeless option!
Compact Design with Extendible Hose
The FLO Mini Pump has an extendable hose making operation easy. Mini pumps without a hose often leak when you pump and wiggling the head creates air loss. The extendable hose allows for faster, easier inflation without air loss and access to tight spaces on products, like the FLO DISC or your toddler’s balance bike tires. The FLO Mini Pump’s 10.25″ length makes it easy to pack for travel.
Final Thoughts
The FLO Mini Pump as a products stands out on it’s own but with the addition of the FLO Air Gauge you get a fully modular inflation system for setting extremely accurate tire pressures at your next race or on the go. For a full walk-through on the FLO Mini Pump check out the video above.
