Over the past decade, Jon and Chris Thornham have taken FLO Cycling from an idea to the brand you’ve come to know. Today marks a change in FLO’s journey. Chris has decided to step away from FLO and has sold his ownership. The following statement is from Chris:
After dedicating my full time to FLO Cycling for the better part of a decade, I have decided to move on from the day-to-day responsibilities.
I will not be answering emails, contributing to forums, producing the Faster podcast, or doing the many other things people have come to associate me with over the years.
Jon will be running the day-to-day moving forward, and I know he will take great care of everyone.
Creating and running FLO Cycling has been one of the best experiences of my life. Ten years ago, Jon and I were working all hours of the night to build FLO Cycling in the one-car garage of our condo after coming home from our full-time jobs.
As I write this today, we have sold tens of thousands of bicycle wheels to more than 70 countries around the world and donated more than 2,500 bicycles to children in need.
While hard work has played a part in our success, I am fully aware that it has been the support of every single person who has contributed to FLO that has made our dream come true, and for that, I am truly grateful.
Moving forward, Jon is excited to continue the growth and development of FLO. Below is a statement from Jon:
I am extremely grateful for having the ability to have worked side-by-side with my brother over the last decade. While I am sad to see him go, I am excited for him and his next phase of life. We have some exciting things planned for FLO and are excited to keep rolling. Love you buddy.
Here’s to an exciting future for Chris and FLO!
Co-founder at FLO Cycling. Jon manages the day to day operations and acts as the lead engineer for all FLO products.
